Keeping your dog’s bed clean helps maintain its appearance, comfort, and freshness over time. Our Luxury Orthopedic Dog Bed is designed with removable components to make routine cleaning as simple as possible. Whether you're dealing with a small spill, muddy paws, dog hair, or it's simply time for a deeper clean, following the proper care instructions can help protect the cover, bolsters, and memory foam.
For everyday messes, spot cleaning will usually be enough. When the bed needs a more thorough refresh, the removable cover and bolsters allow you to take the bed apart for easier cleaning.
Spot Cleaning
For minor messes and everyday freshening, spot cleaning is all you need — no full wash required.
Spot cleaning is ideal for small spills, dirty paw prints, drool, or other messes that don't require you to completely disassemble the dog bed.
What you'll need:
- Our Paw Fresh Pet Cleaner or any pet cleaner deemed safe for fabric
- A clean cloth or paper towel
Instructions:
- Spray the affected area with Paw Fresh Pet Cleaner.
- Allow the cleaner to sit for approximately 15 minutes.
- Wipe the area clean using a cloth or paper towel.
- Allow the cleaned area to dry completely before your dog uses the bed again.
Regular spot cleaning can help keep your dog's bed looking and smelling fresh between full washes.
Full Wash
When it's time for a thorough cleaning, the bed disassembles easily for a complete wash. Follow these steps carefully to remove each component before washing.
Step 1: Remove the Base Foam Layer
- Flip the bed upside down to access the bottom panel.
- Locate and unzip the zipper along the bottom of the bed.
- Carefully remove the base foam layer and set it aside in a clean, dry area.
Do not place the memory foam in the washing machine.
Step 2: Remove the Bolsters
Your bed includes four side bolsters, each removable through a dedicated interior zipper.
- Open the interior zipper located inside the bed to access the bolster inserts.
- Carefully remove all four bolster inserts.
- Set the inserts aside while washing the removable cover.
Step 3: Wash the Cover & Bolsters
Once the foam and inserts have been removed, wash the outer cover and washable components according to the care label instructions included with your bed.
Following the recommended washing instructions can help preserve the softness, shape, and appearance of your dog bed.
Cover Care
- Machine Wash Cold on Gentle Cycle
- Water Temperature: 30°C / 86°F
- Do Not Bleach
- Tumble Dry on Low Heat
- Do Not Iron
- Do Not Dry Clean
Always make sure the cover is completely dry before reassembling your dog bed.
Memory Foam Care
The inner memory foam requires different care than the removable outer cover.
- Do Not Wash the Inner Memory Foam
- Spot Clean Only
- Air Dry Only
- Do Not Bleach
- Do Not Dry Clean
- Do Not Expose Inner Memory Foam to Direct Sunlight for Long Periods
Keeping the memory foam dry is important for maintaining its condition. If the foam requires spot cleaning, use as little moisture as necessary and allow it to air dry completely before placing it back inside the bed.
Once every component is clean and completely dry, replace the bolsters and base memory foam, zip everything securely into place, and your dog's bed is ready to use again.
